Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a registered charity. They provide a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) in Swindon, Wiltshire and surrounding areas. They rely on donations to continue flying and saving lives. It costs £3.75 million a year to run this lifesaving service. That’s just over £10,000 per day.

The service operates up to 19 hours a day, 365 days a year. They’re called to, on average, three incidents a day in their helicopter and two Rapid Response Vehicles (cars). The medical equipment that their trained paramedics use, enables them to deliver gold standard medical care to patients. In 2020 they were called to 1,238 incidents. A record number since becoming a stand-alone service.
Since it began operating in 1990 Wiltshire Air Ambulance has saved countless lives.
