Shohini Dutta Kanungo lives in Tadpole Garden Village in North Swindon with her husband and two children, her son age ten and her daughter age five. They moved here after living in Bristol for eight years.

Swindon is one of the best things to have happened to us. We consider ourselves really lucky to have found our home in Tadpole Garden Village. We were one of the first families to move here and have enjoyed seeing others join our community and watch it grow over the years. The rapid change in the landscape has been incredible. Tadpole Garden Village offers a perfect blend of country and urban living.

What’s your favourite past-time in Swindon?

I’ve always been interested in creative arts. From time to time, I love sketching and painting. I also try and read regularly. Photography is something that both me and my husband share a love for. Although I’m only an amateur and look at it as a leisure pursuit. Being a nature enthusiast, photography has been a major release during these unprecedented times.

A We Are Swindon fan.

I came to know about We Are Swindon from their Instagram and consider this as a great initiative for promoting a positive Swindon. There is so much to see and do around the town that I don’t think would have been possible without the active involvement of the people in and around Swindon.

Swindon – home away from home.

We basically hail from India and Swindon has been home away from home. Seeing our children grow up here, Swindon has given us a chance to build beautiful memories. is a great place to be in. It’s a great place to raise a family. Swindon is our home sweet home.
